Ronnie Sewell
Mr.
Ronnie Sewell became ACA’s second President in June 2002. He
previously served at the academy for nine years (1981-1990)
as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Prior to returning to
ACA, Mr. Sewell served as Superintendent for Central Arkansas
Christian Schools and President of Jackson Christian School
(Tennessee).
He began his career in education in 1975 and served in the
public schools before entering Christian education in 1981.
His passion is Christian education. He and his wife Egena, have
four daughters and two grandchildren.
Mr. Sewell received his Bachelor’s degree from the University
of North Alabama; his Masters from the University of Alabama
Birmingham; and his Administration & Supervision certification
from Auburn University Montgomery.
Mr. Sewell gives God the praise, honor, and glory for all
the blessings ACA has received over the years.

Milton Slauson
Dr.
Milton Slauson received his B.A. degree in history from the
University of Alabama in 1968. From 1968 until 1972, he taught
in the Montgomery County and Elmore County Schools. He received
his M.A. degree in guidance and counseling in 1971 also from
the U of A. In 1972, Dr. Slauson returned to his alma mater
for further graduate study. In 1975 he received a Ph.D. in guidance
and counseling and holds doctoral minors in educational psychology,
curriculum and supervision, special education and statistics.
During the 1975-76 school year, he taught in the College of
Education at the University of Alabama.
Beginning in 1976, Dr. Slauson was employed by the Selma City
Schools as a psychometrist and guidance counselor. Subsequently,
he served for 17 years as the school system’s Director of Special
Education. During the mid-1980s, he took post-doctoral courses
at AUM to become certified in educational administration. After
retiring from public education, Dr. Slauson became the secondary
principal of ACA in June 1994 and served in that capacity for
10 years. In 2004, he became ACA’s first superintendent.
Dr. Slauson’s hobbies are genealogy, bowling and collecting
songs from the late 50s and early 60s. He enjoys working with
the faculty, staff, students, parents and administrators at
ACA and is very conscious of the school’s rich heritage Having
started his own educational career here in 1952 as a first grader.
He is married to Linda Slauson, a 5th grade teacher at ACA.
They have three grown children, Karyn, Ben and Amy, two great
sons-in-law and the three cutest grandsons they could have ever
hoped to have.

John
Armstrong
is ACA’s secondary principal. He assumed the
position in June 2007. He received his Master’s degree in Administration
and Supervision from Freed-Hardeman University and has worked
in Christian education since 1977 as a science teacher, coach
and administrator. Mr. Armstrong is married to Donna Armstrong
who also works at ACA as guidance coordinator. John and Donna
have two children and six grandchildren. For fun, he likes eating
out at fine dining establishments with his lovely wife, fishing
with his close friends and playing golf with his son. Both John
and Donna are members at Vaughn Park Church of Christ.

Howard Todd
Mr.
Todd came to ACA in the summer of 2004. He is currently serving
as our Assistant Principal. He is a graduate of Southern Christian
University (now Regions University) with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Bible. Mr. Todd served in fulltime ministry for twenty-seven
years (twenty-six of which were at the Vaughn Park church here
in Montgomery) primarily in the area of youth ministry. During
that time he had the opportunity to speak and teach in 18 states
on subjects such as parenting skills, understanding teenagers,
youth ministry, family life ministry and other related topics.
Mr. Todd served on the ACA Board of Trustees from 2000-2004.
In addition, he worked for five years at Faulkner University
in Admissions and Financial Aid. Mr. Todd’s wife, Dona, is the
Director of Medical Records at Baptist East and Prattville Baptist
Hospitals. They have two children, both of whom are ACA graduates.
Hayley is a senior at Harding University and Jason is a family
medicine physician in Pelham, Alabama. Mr. Todd attends the
Landmark church here in Montgomery. He serves on the Board of
Directors of Impact, which is a camp for over 2500 teenagers
in Nashville during the month of June. Mr. Todd’s hobbies are
traveling, snow skiing, and watching sports on TV.

Melissa Faulk
Mrs.
Melissa Faulk received both her mnjBachelor’s and Master’s degrees
in Elementary Education from AUM in 1976 and 1978 respectively.
In 1999 and and 2000, she did additional graduate level work
in order to receive certification in educational administration.
After teaching in the Montgomery Public Schools and being a
housewife from 1976-1987, Mrs. Faulk joined the ACA faculty
in January 1988 and taught in the classroom until 1997. In August
of that year, she became the elementary school coordinator until
an administrative restructuring in 1999 led to her appointment
as elementary school principal. Mrs. Faulk has served ACA in
that capacity ever since. She holds certification in special
education, elementary education, and administration.

Rob
Williams
Mr. Rob Williams, an alumnus of ACA, holds a Bachelor’s degree
in Business Administration and Management from Auburn University
and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Walden
University. While serving a four-year stint as the Director
of Sales and Marketing for a record label in Nashville, he married
his wife, Joy, who is also a teacher at ACA. Mr. Williams has
five years of experience as a youth minister. He began his teaching
career in 2000 and taught at Arlington Christian School in GA
before returning to ACA. He is the middle school assistant principal.
