| Key Club | Mu Alpha Theta
Fellowship of Christian Students F.C.S. meets on Thursday mornings at 7:35 in Room 132. This is a time when students get together to worship before school. After a time of singing and prayer, a speaker shares insightful spiritual thoughts. Sessions usually conclude with a brief group discussion. Come and join us! ACA's Key Club is a service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Membership is highly regarded by colleges and universities since Key Club members demonstrate scholarship, leadership and service. Membership is available to students in grades 9-12 who possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, have received no more than two office referrals or 2 "U's" in conduct during the previous school year, and who pay annual dues, attend bi-monthly meetings and perform the required number of service hours. Currently students need 5 hours per month to get credit for Key Club. Seniors in Key Club with 2 years of completed service will receive a service cord at graduation. ACA’s Mu Alpha Theta chapter is an extension of the national organization whose purpose is to stimulate interest in mathematics by providing public recognition for superior math scholarship and by promoting various mathematical activities. In order to qualify for membership at ACA, students must be enrolled in or have already successfully completed Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus and have completed each of Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry with a B average or better. ACA has a long-standing NHS. Eligibility in this prestigious organization is limited to juniors and seniors who among other things: (1) have completed one semester's work at the Academy, A complete description of ACA's selection procedure for the NHS

ACA’s Scholars’ Bowl Team is a select group of high school students who participate in academic contests and invitational tournaments sponsored by the Alabama Scholastic Competition Association (ASCA) and its member schools. Admission to the team is by invitation of the sponsors and based upon exceptional test scores and performance in a number of try-out rounds of questioning involving the following categories of knowledge: history, geography, science, math, literature, fine arts, language arts, technology, economics and current events. Sponsors: The 2007-08 team members are: Competitions: Student Government Association The purpose of the SGA is to promote unity and understanding between the students and the faculty, encourage school spirit and cooperation, uphold Christian standards and ideals, promote a social atmosphere on campus, serve students, and promote pride and loyalty toward our school. Each year a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and one representative from each class, grade 9-12, are elected to represent the student body. All members must have at least a "C" average, good conduct grades, be of good Christian character, have a proven willingness to work and have attended ACA for at least one full semester.
Middle School Student Government Association The purpose of the Middle School SGA is to promote unity and understanding between the students and the faculty, and uphold Christian standards and ideals, and promote loyalty toward our school. Each year middle school students elect officers and representatives from grades 6, 7 & 8. All members must have a “C” average, good conduct grades, a willingness to work, and have attended ACA at least one full semester. Spanish National Honor Society The purpose of this organization is to recognize high achievement in Spanish by students of U.S. secondary schools and to promote a continuity of interest in Hispanic studies. Students must have maintained an average of 86 or above in the first three semesters of Spanish class to become a member of the Society. Alabama Christian Academy established a chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society in 1998, under the Charter name of "Hernado de Soto." Members in good standing receive a red honor cord upon graduation from ACA. Sponsor: Mr. Renato Jimenez
