ALABAMA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, MONTGOMERY ALABAMA

DEVELOPMENT & ADVANCEMENT

Introduction

On behalf of the ACA Board of Trustees, Administration, Faculty and Staff, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our financial supporters. Together, many of you have formed a partnership with ACA that helps provide an excellent Christian education to hundreds of students each year. We are deeply grateful for your support. Your generous support allows us to reach goals and provide opportunities that otherwise could not be realized through tuition funding alone.

We are committed to the pursuit of excellence in all areas at ACA. This commitment requires a dedicated and well-trained faculty, a motivated and able student body, and the financial support of partners who share our vision and mission. Mission indicates the core reason for our existence, and vision implies that we see things not only as they are, but also as they can become.

We are certain that sufficient need exists at ACA for us to request funds from families and friends that will allow us to work toward our vision. As we have stated, these funds help us to accomplish things that could not be accomplished through tuition alone. As a private school, we receive no funding from tax revenues. Our help has to come from people like you. The great news is that your tax-deductible gift to ACA allows your money to stay in Montgomery, benefiting the young people of our community.

Again, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to those of you who have helped us in the past and for those helping us currently. If you are not currently a financial partner with ACA and would like to know more about our vision, please contact us. Please continue to keep ACA in your prayers as well.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Alabama Christian with Mayor Bobby Bright and Judge Lynn BrightOn Sunday, August 11, 2007, ACA held a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. to open and dedicate officially its new additions, renovations and improvements. Mayor Bobby Bright and his wife, Judge Lynn Bright, several members of the board of trustees, all of our administrators and a number of teachers, parents, students and stakeholders were present for the ceremony.

The completion of this year-long construction project was good reason for celebration. The completed construction added approximately 15,200 square feet of space to ACA’s facilities. The total cost of construction was close to two million dollars. It included: two new k/4 classrooms, with restrooms, hallway and exit, two high school labs, two secondary classrooms, two conference rooms, an office, a greatly enlarged teacher workroom and extra restroom, a vast chorus room, storage for the MPR, band and maintenance storage areas, a concession stand with restrooms, and a press box with new stands for our Eagle supporters. ACA gives God the glory and the thanks for all that has been accomplished. Thanks are also due all of our supporters and contributors who have served as God’s workers.

Giving

There are several ways for you to give to ACA. All gifts are tax-deductible and help us achieve things that otherwise may not be achieved simply through tuition funding. Following are some of the ways in which you can help ACA. If you have any questions about any of these opportunities, please give us a call.

1. Campaign Gifts:
You may make a pledge over a given period of time and make payments in whatever manner that suits you best (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, etc.)

2. Honor and Memorial Gifts:
You may make a gift “In Loving Memory” or “In Living Honor” of someone. Here is a printable donation form in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat.

3. Estate Planning:
If you have an interest, without obligation, in just learning how you can help ACA in the long-term future, please contact us as soon as possible. We can help you become familiar with areas such as life insurance policies where you make ACA the beneficiary; charitable remainder trusts where you can put a significant amount of money in a trust, name ACA as the beneficiary, and you receive a continued income from that trust for as long as you live; making ACA a beneficiary in your will; and, by giving other appreciable items, such as land, a house, a vehicle, etc.
