summer is to continue reading with them. It is important not only
for your child to read to you but for you to read to them as well.

Second
Grade: Magic Tree House Book #1 – Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope
Osborne and any one of the Arthur series books by Marc Brown
Third Grade: Read 2 chapter books of your choice 75 pages or more. You may choose from the following series of books: Beverly Cleary Chapter books, Children's Illustrated Classics, Encyclopedia Brown books, Magic Tree House books, Matt Christopher books. (DO NOT read Henry Huggins or Ramona Quimby, Age 8)
Fourth Grade: Skinnybones by Barbara Park and Help! I'm a Prisoner in the Library by Eth Clifford
Fifth Grade: Cricket in Times Square by George Selden and Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis
* Students must fill out the book
summary sheet for each book read - due the 1st day of school.
* Accelerated Reader tests will be given over these books.
